Pearl - Celebrating the voice of Janis Joplin

“Pearl” is a project created out of a passion and love for that chapter in Rock ’n Roll that is distinct from any other. When Big Brother and the Holding Company brought Janis Joplin into their fold, something explosive happened with a sound that no-one has heard since. This shy Texas country/blues singer forged a place of her own in history with a voice that will tear out your heart and a band cut from a cloth all their own.

With Guy Perrin (guitar), Dirk de Boer (guitar), Pete Oldridge (keys), Fabian Minnema (drums), Jay Metheral (bass), Adam Streisel (trumpet) and Gord Mosher (sax) pulling off the difficult and unmistakable sound of Big Brother & the Holding Company and the Kosmic Blues Band, fronted by the smokey voice of Gillian Snider, sold-out audiences have had the opportunity to experience these memorable songs live!
